From Street From Christ Inc., is committed to reducing recidivism, drug addictions, criminal behavior and poverty in those who are released from incarceration and drug rehabilitation.
Our transformational work will assist those recently released from bondage and heal families by providing the resources they need through referrals and collaborations to rise up and be productive members of society.
We offer hope and support to anyone in re-entry programs through our uplifting and encouraging testimonies of how God saved us from self-destructive behaviors and transformed us into individuals our families and community can be proud of.
We share our testimony of God's grace and mercy on a lost and broken people. God changed our hearts and life through prison ministry and other faith based organizations. We assist the church community serve the prison population more effectively by giving them insight on how to best reach and serve them. Through our story we help other organizations understand how the streets impact and shape children into adults who live a life filled with drugs and crime. Through understanding organizations can create or support programs that help neighborhood children have a better outcome.
James Brown is a husband and father born and raised in the third largest city in New Jersey, Paterson. Raised in an environment full of criminal behavior and drug abuse and addiction, James has spent 23 years going in and out of prison.
Spending his time incarcerated, he was approached with many religions, beliefs and gods. Until, he heard about a God who is a helper, comforter and healer - which was exactly what he needed. After accepting Jesus Christ in his heart, he feel the freest he's ever felt.
"I thought I would never be free, but 'He who is free in Christ, is free indeed'" (John 8:36).
James founded FSTC with the intention of spreading God's love and mercy to those who believe they cannot be saved (from their addiction, trauma, and past).
"I want them know that God tells them they are "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Ps 139:14).
"To the unworthy, the broken hearted, the beggars, the addicted and formerly incarcerated, there is hope. Psalm 103:12 promises that God has cast our sins as far as the east is from the west. God's love is unconditional"
A nonprofit is as strong as the community that holds it up. Together, we can do more than we can do alone. Let's bring our abilities and passions together to affect real change.
